DESCRIPTION:A practical introduction to data analysis and visualisation usi
ng the Python programming language.\n\nPython is one of the leading progra
mming languages in data science and is widely used for data analysis\, vis
ualisation\, statistics and machine learning. This course introduces the c
ore skills needed to work effectively with scientific datasets in Python\,
with an emphasis on exploratory data analysis\, data manipulation and vis
ualisation.\n\nThe course is entirely based on open-source software\, and
all tools used during the training are freely available.\n\nBy the end of
the course\, participants should be able to:\n\n* work confidently with Py
thon and interactive coding environments\n* import\, inspect and perform q
uality control checks on tabular datasets\n* manipulate and reshape datase
ts for downstream analysis\n* summarise and analyse grouped data\n* create
and customise data visualisations suitable for scientific communication\n
 * combine datasets using shared identifiers and resolve common data-cleani
ng issues\n\nTeaching is primarily hands-on\, combining short presentation
s with live coding demonstrations and guided practical exercises.\n\n\n
